Great is the way it looks at you!Good timing!I prefer the B/W version,Richard. The more upright position of the bird looks better,IMO.The composition is more interesting too,I think.

Greetings,Jim

Excellent capture, Richard. The pose and DOF are great. I like the motion effect. Very good and quite original shot! Congrats!

Love the colours here, but the more upright angle of the bird in the black and white version, my dear friend. It is as though the birdie is making eye contact with you while flying away. The sharpness on the head is really astounding as is the position of the feet! Wonderful caught!!! 10/10!!! Regards.

Fantastic image, dear friend Richard. Exposure,DOF,light are excellent. Both the versions are equally good but have different appeal. My preference is one.

This is not a bird in flight, but a gymnast, gliding through the air effortlessly, taking one side glance at the judges to see if they are impressed, before landing. This is Carl Lewis in the long jump, Clyde Drexler in his signature glide that earned him that name, Errol Flynn, Bruce Lee, Fred Astair, Venus Williams, Michael Gross, Greg Louganis, Nadia Comenich, Muhammed Ali, Diego Maradona, ah, one runs out of names!

Yes, the pose in the B/W is better, if it is in colour then even better. It's swooping down motion is timely captured.

... You left out one name, Emmanuel ... ... Nureyev! Look at the position of the legs. He's a dancer!
