Guest Guest Posted April 21, 2007 No 3's yet David!!! (knock on wood) This is a wonderful image! I love the simplicity of it. Just like a song... in music, true art is making a difficult passage sound easy... and you have done just that with this one. I've learned so much about shooting snow this year... and it is an art form in itself! Thank you for your comment on my pic :) Angela Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted April 21, 2007 Thanks for the comment. I am honestly shocked. Seems that lately the 3/3 folks are on double time and this is not the sort of pic that is wildly popular or mainstream. Take care. Link to comment
whwhitejr 0 Posted April 21, 2007 I guess it is farm equipment? What ever it is it caught my eye. Regards, Bill Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted April 21, 2007 Actually, it is an old push type reel lawnmower, I think. I'm not sure if it ever had rubber tires or not, but it looks like it might not have. Thanks for looking. Link to comment
katzpjs 50 Posted April 21, 2007 Very nice! I probably would have had to spend tens of minutes removing the dust spots from the image before posting it. No matter how clean my lens appears to be I always end up with dust and lint spots in my snow and clouds. Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted April 21, 2007 Thanks. This was at the old house where the green chair was, and the green trailer was twenty feet from this, and the falling down building and the fences all were here too. It was one rich photo site. Link to comment
katzpjs 50 Posted April 21, 2007 And you performed quite well here. All those images you've mentioned are wonderful images. You and the location were hitting on all cylinders. Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted April 21, 2007 Beautiful shot, David, this should keep all the "fine art" critics at bay for a while. Well seen and perfectly captured. Link to comment
alight 0 Posted April 23, 2007 the attractiveness of this image is the simplicity and that one doesn't know what it is, even after you say that it's a lawn mower. It's nicely framed, too. I'd be really excited if it were a V8 bottle opener. The fine texture in the gray device nicely complements the fine texture in the snow. Cheers, Micheal Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted April 23, 2007 Micheal, I suppose it could be used to open a V8 bottle, but there are probably easier ways. Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted August 8, 2007 Thank you very much. I love that word, "feral" to describe this. Cheers Link to comment

janc 0 Posted September 27, 2008 Hi David! From time to time I come back to enjoy with your shots. This one has a very nice elegance, very well seen and performed. My best regards. Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted September 30, 2008 Thanks for digging through some of the oldies. Most people only look at the latest postings. Link to comment
