Vermillion Cliffs Chocolate Factory

hugh_sakols

It was cold with changing clouds. Later I was shown footprints that could have very well been dinasaurs that roamed what at that time could of been the worlds greatest desert. I carried a sturdy tripod. This image is best viewed using adobe RGB. It looked awful in sRGB.

To be honest the SO blue sky takes away from the red ricks. Personally I would tone down the sky a little so it does not look "fake". VERY nice though!

John said the very words I was going to use: way over the top. Just because one can doesn't mean one should.

Color and shape in this place is naturally wonderful - do you really need PS help to boost it even more? Those of us who have seen this place (or similar) will have a hard time to look at it...I like John's version much better

Fine composition. I do agree with others about sky saturation as a distraction (especially on the right "peak", upper edge obscured by the saturation) -- my eyes are drawn to the sky. Some contrast in the rock might bring out more detail and give more perceptual depth. A B+W would be interesting too.
