Guest Guest Posted August 1, 2007 I think you have a technically very good portrait here. The lighting is quite nice and flatters your subject. His skin tone seems very real. We can see his eyes clearly and you've captured lovely highlights in his very dark hair, which in less adept hands would just be black. I wish you had engaged us a bit more with him, by having him look at us. I also don't understand the old empty box on the wall. If it in some way relates to him and you could have conveyed that, great. But, as is, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense as a visual companion to him. The yellow brick wall is a good background for him. It sets his hair and coloring off nicely. Have him express himself and look into the camera with a genuine emotion and you will have something a bit more compelling. --Fred Link to comment
