A simple shot done on the same trip (and on the same river) as theprevious shot, the "http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=5765797">riverreflection theme". What do you say? Do you like it?

ThanksJiri

Jiri, I like it. The way the rocks are scattered creates a path the eye can follow. You handled well a difficult exposure, because of the large contrast between the dry rocks and the water. For me the whites are not distracting. Was this shot on a cloudy day ? I do not see much reflection of the sky - did you use a polarizer ? Best wishes. Peter

Thanks Peter. Yes, it was shot on an overcast day indeed, no polarizer used, just a Cokin Red filter. And the contrast was not that terrible, the rocks were more like dull gray than white, but I tried to move them to white, while keeping the water (and the riverbed) dark...

Thanks again, Jiri

Well seen and composed, the rocks as lead-in are very nice. Very good DOF and detail. I tried a horizontally flipped version, to get an ascending "S" starting in the LL: this is of course not what you have in mind, but it works a bit better for me
