Well, I guess it is better this way. But I wasn't the only one to give you a double 3 on the last version; why single me out? Regards.

some people are not so nice to leave the ever wanted critique and I am to blind to know what is wrong sometimes! Thank you for letting me know. Yes 5 3's and I do begin to wonder what is up ~ but I did have some other numbers but FIVE is a bit many.

I would have wondered what was really wrong with it as I still really like it and it really looks great up close (larger) ~ the other version.

I would, however like to know if there is anything (Walter) in my portfolio that DOES look better than a 3/3. Sometimes when you do get those critiques you feel a bit ~ well ~ BLAH!

I do like it when someone is honest and would appreciate it if you would ALWAYS be honest with me as I hold no ill feelings because I am here to LEARN! :) ~ micki

Great image. First time I've ever seen a dog look shocked (outraged). Wonder what you said to him. Who cares about nonsense numbers - I almost never give or get ratings. If people are too lazy to give proper critiques, then they can "bow wow" off (pardon the language).

I took a look at your folio today and came back with several of your photographs that struck me as being well above the PhotoNet norm. The first one was "...SLIVER of a MOON". While the subject may not be unique, the fact tht you saw in your mind's eye an analogy between the lamp's globe and the moon is. Recording that analogy set this one above many others.

I thought that your side swipe (color version) was a worthy effort. I prefered this one over the monochrome primarily because the water "looks" more liquid with color and the incongruity of it being drastically tilted was more apparent. I also prefered the crop in the color version. Overall, it is a very effective abstraction.

Finaly, my favorite was "The Fonz called...". The POV with the camera low was the arresting creative element that grabbed me. Beyond the obvious humor, the undercurrent of editorial commentary that one sensed was refreshing.

Perhaps, in some ways, I have become too much of a grump because of what I see happening in the Gallery. Inspite of all the problems, being "above the PhotoNet norm" still does have merit. So, you did well. Regards.

Antanas.. yes interesting :) ~ ha

Joan, as always... a treat to work with the animals ;) sorry to see you leaving FLORIDA so soon!! I love the fun frames!!

ROGER ~ I love it when someone doesn't have a rating to put down sometimes as it gives me the chance to WRITE more and express myself more than just a number ~ THANK you so much for all the wonderful critiques. THEY mean more than anything!

Torfinn ~ Title was the hardest thing to figure out ;) ~ HA

Walter, THANK YOU for going through my portfolio and taking the time to do so. You don't know how much that means to me after seeing how wonderful and talented you are. I really appreciated what you said about me being well above the norm here on PN as I try NOT to do what everyone else does and try to just be ME.

I try to see things the way I see them. Don't follow the traditional rules (heck I don't even know what rules there really are). See... I am just a person who follows her heart and ALL these people that I am surrounded by, friends aquantances, you, passerby's ANYONE ~ raters etc... they all just make me grow in some way but truthfully it is what I think that counts. BUT (always a but) BUT, what you said about my three pictures made my day and made me go YES! YES! HE saw what I was looking for in that LAMP! ONE person finally said exactly what I was going for!

AND YOU said exactly what I wanted to on the first SIDE SWIPE! YEP only you! and YES, how does one post a picture of you standing next to the FIRST GEORGE BUSH without having ANY editorial commentary and yet still have "friends". (she says with a smirk).

You are very perceptive. YOU have got a GREAT EYE and yes you were right about my picture and you have guts. GRUMPY or not again at LEAST you comment. I pat you on the back for that! Isn't that what all those other silly people out there keep complain about that nobody ever critiques they just leave a number and goes on their way.

YOU PLEASE drop by and critique anything anytime... no rating neccessary ever. I am always learning and growing!

Thank you Walter :) ~ micki

Adorable! I am absolutely sure, that when my 9-years old daughter sees this one, she will shout out loud. :-D (She loves dogs). I really like the portrait of the dog, his/her`s expression is outstanding. The paw-marks crown the image! The gentleman on the background (Andrew?), captures some attention away from the dog, but still he belongs to the image.

AS they of course call RENA Andrew's sister... silly grandparents.

They came to visit for Easter. They left Tuesday and I took many pictures of them. I of course made this one a little bit more FUN.
