juan-de-santa-anna 0 Posted April 16, 2007 What a sweet shot...the DOF is perfect! Were you able to hear it's beak snap when it caught a insect? Used to be one of my favorite sounds because it meant that I was away from the city noise and out where a mind could rest...wonderful shot Kim....Juan Link to comment
jayme 0 Posted April 16, 2007 This is a terrific image. The barbed wire makes my feet hurt :) As I was looking at this shot I was thinking to myself. I sure hope you are compiling a book/portfolio with all the interesting birds you have captured. I know I've learned more about birds from your images than I have anywhere else. You always capture them in such a lovely perspective. Your images allow each bird's personality to shine through :) It makes them seem less animal & more human like. Super Job! Link to comment
dave_dube 10 Posted April 17, 2007 Now Kim, why aren't you allowing a rating on this fantastic photo?I rate this a 7/7!Thanks for posting such a great photo. Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted April 17, 2007 Just for you, Dave, posted for critique. I try to remember to post them, but sometimes I forget and I hardly ever bother to look at the ratings anyway. It's too depressing when you start off with 3/3's, so I like to wait a week or so before even looking. Link to comment
dennis jones 0 Posted April 17, 2007 Still waiting to get one of these...Nice capture Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted April 17, 2007 I used to think they were quite elusive, but this past weekend, they were letting us walk right up to them. They are competing with the mockingbirds, I guess. Link to comment
a.sparks 0 Posted April 17, 2007 Beautiful shot. Very pretty bird with great detail for such a small subject. Link to comment
joe-tury 0 Posted April 17, 2007 I like how you seem to get that slanted third in your shots(the wire). Nice dof too. Never have seen this type of bird before. Link to comment
joanbn 0 Posted April 18, 2007 Beautiful photo of a beautiful bird. Does have an angelic look! Link to comment
Emmanuel Enyinwa 0 Posted April 19, 2007 This one's a winner. Love the juxtaposition of this delicate little bird and the vicious looking barbed wire. It's unfortunate about the critique forum, but a part of me has made peace with it. I don't think you need to worry about your work, though. There is simply too much countervailing opinion to more than offset a few disgruntled anonymous haters, uh, raters too scared to come out of the shadows and be counted. Link to comment
