...that's a nuke plant and everything that looks like smoke in this shot is environmentally harmless steam. I appreciate the point you're trying to make, but there's nothing green threatening here.

The plant in the picture is a coal fired power station in Witbank South Africa. My cry to Mr Bush is for him to lead the world in the repair of our planet as soon as possible. Unfortunately if he says it is not a problem then most polluting third world nations like mine ( ZAR ) think so too.

Why would a coal plant have six concrete cooling towers and only two smoke stacks?

No idea. I drive past it every few weeks. South Africa's only nucleur power is in the Cape . Koeberg Power station.

...if this is Duvha Power Station then it is, in fact, coal fired. Apparently a nuke plant is slated to be built here some day soon, but this one is dirty. My apologies.

Damn you Bush, with your morning fog and your rising sun! Turn the camera 45 degrees and we have a beautiful sunset/sunrise. Why are we not pointing the finger at the leaders of the country that built this. Oh, I forgot, all the problems of the world are the fault of the US and they all started in 2000. The US is blammed for interfeering with others' business then blamed later for not doing so. The hypocricy and finger pointing is getting old.

Additionally, I was struck by the irony that this photo and its accompanying uninformed opinion were posted for critique in the "News/Journalism" category! Maybe I shouldn't be surprised: it seems that much of the media is doing the same on this topic.
