... but it is superb, Dimitris. The violent action of the wave stopped in mid-motion only emphasizes the strength of the stone. Great sky as well, rendered in beautiful b&w. Well done. No. Breath-taking.

Obviously you are back from France. I hope you had a wonderfull time. There is a Greek poem by a Poet called Valaoritis.(early nineteen hundreds) There is a phrase in that poem which says: Meriase vrahe na diavo to kymma t' andriomeno. Roughly translated: Make way rock so I can pass, I am the powerful wave. Is an allegorical poem and is referring to the revolution of 1821. The wave representing the Ottomans and the rock the revolutionary Greeks. This composite is inspired by that...Looking at it though maybe I should crop a bit off the top. What do you think? Nice to hear from you.

... I think it would be a mistake to crop the top, in fact, that open space is even more important knowing the background of the poem and the history. PJ and I had an incredible time in France, as usual, over 12500 shots, so much work to do to process. But we had amazing access to the churches and the statues, it was almost miraculous. To actually hold these 1000 year old madonnas and to be able to photograph them at leisure. Incroyable! So, we are back, starting to tackle the enormous job of processing the RAW files, but nothing makes us happier, my friend.

I was looking at it on my laptop yesterday but now seeing the whole picture on the big screen at my station, things look different. The ‘’WHOLE PICTURE’’ did I say?... Alas we do not always see that…-:). Dennis, 12500 raw file shots in five weeks? WOW, you were busy!! And I thought my 6500 shots since last March were a lot!! I think you are doing a very commendable and uniquely original job and I am so glad that P.J is enjoying it too. I share your enthusiasm my friend and I wish the best for both of you.

... want to make sure you understand that PJ and I took 12,500 shots together, in fact she shot 7,000 exactly! She is not only supportive, she is my partner in the project, and try as I might, she has not posted a single picture anywhere except our commercial site (hosted by Digital Railroad, which folded recently, so that is down at this time). I am trying to get her to post on PN, or at least let me post a folder of her shots.

You are very lucky to have a partner like P.J, Dennis! She should have her own portfolio on PN is fun and she would make lots of friends here. A cordial salute to both of you.
