What's a Rube Goldberg? Is that an old thrashing machine? Its a good documentary, since I don't believe you will see any of these machines any longer.

This photo makes me think of the the blue birds that were nesting in the little round rusted box on one of my Dad's old farm machines -- a binder, maybe. This box might have been the tool box. Seeing that little square box top right just mad me think it would make a nice blue bird box if it had a little hole in the side, like the old binder's round box did. :))

Congratulations on getting your new page up and running. It looks pretty good. I have it bookmarked. I am undecided about using your page or your photo.net account on my page links, as yet. Thanks so much for the link to my PN.

First, here's a link to a little insight into Rube. You made me Google it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rube_Goldberg. I think you may be right about that tool box. If I ever see a farmer around here I'll be sure to find out what this thing does.

I can't believe someone found my web site. I wish I knew a little more about building one, it would be way cooler. Maybe I'll change a few things when I get it figured out. I could've listed more people in there too, one was Andy Eulass. I kind of miss him, he really gave me a boost from time to time, but I can't find anything he's done recently. Thanks again Margaret. [i think Rube was a funny guy.]

Oh man! Thanks for introducing me to Rube Goldberg. Yes, I now see your reference to him on this machine. Fun stuff!

I miss Andy too. He moved to start a new position. If you google his name Andrew Eulass, you get a glimpse of what he is doing now. A responsible position and he had little time for his photography or email contacts. I have lost touch with him too. But if his work and home situation ever slows down, I am sure he will be back. The only place he has left any photos on line now is his pbase portfolio. Its missing some of his classics, I think. But I have his permission to have some of them on my computer -- small jpegs of course.
