the Canyon village is little visited, primarily because communications here are bad out here in Sahara, next to the Algerian border.

The village of Mides is looking over a small, but dramatic canyon, that is distinct with its round shapes, and strong contrasts in colour. The village is no more than a handful of white houses. The settlement is quite new, as the original Mides was destroyed in 1969, when it rained for 22 days.

Wonderful color & great composition. I like the wedge of sky and the deep central green area. Probably not a difficult place to photograph, but it still takes someone with your ability to get it exactly right.

Nice corner Cherlyn, I like the green in the FG,adds color to the rocks.I like the idea the fall is only a part of the landscape. Well composed!
