jan_piller 0 Posted April 12, 2007 One of the most beautiful photos I have seen in a long time. How magnificent that a talented photographer was present with a camera! Very beautiful! Link to comment
foto zerüi 0 Posted April 12, 2007 Looks like rime. The early morning mist comprises super-cooled droplets that freeze on impact. Beautifully lit. Link to comment
katzpjs 50 Posted April 16, 2007 Considering the storm I'm quite impressed with how wonderful this image is. How cold was it and how did you manage to keep the lens clear of spots? Link to comment
samn 16 Posted April 17, 2007 Hi Shawn, It was 28 degrees by my trucks thermometer when I stepped out. I shot about 10 photos. The wind was blowing about 30 mph I guess. Very cold. It was like being in fog that was snowing. The sun this high up (5000 ft) was in and out as you can see. Between shots I kept my camera in my jacket and the lens cover on. I think the shots were just a matter of being in the right place at the right time. It was shot on aperature priority, iso 50, 1/200, f10, handheld. I pretty much just waited for the sun to peek out and snapped one off. Link to comment
