Baerbel, this is a superb shot. No two birds are in the same position, yet they make an interesting shape that leads the eye into the sunset. The beach seems very peaceful.

I don't photograph gulls or pigeons, with exceptions...

Yes, a compliment from me. Sometimes I get soft hearted when I see a nice image. I was struck by the fact that all the birds are in the air. Did you have the help of a child or a dog?

You guessed right, Shawn. I had a 5 hear old with me (he would say "almost six, Oma') who threw out crackers and then had fun chasing the birds.
