jan_piller 0 Posted April 8, 2007 I like the colours! Good capture of this little guy. Do they actually eat the fruit? Link to comment
andrzejp 7 Posted April 8, 2007 This one is fantastic. The black is black and the bird is in focus. I love it. Link to comment
alight 0 Posted April 9, 2007 this is excellent. Love this photo. Is this a real bird? If so, do you glue it there somehow? If all this is real and natural (as in luring the bird in and then waiting for the right pose/moment), then how long does it take you to get this? Or is this a composite image? However it all is is not important to my taste. The final product, the image is great: the smiling, happy, fruit, the "well-behaved" bird. The colour of the fruit is nicely contrasting the dark background, and even though parts of the bird are also brightly coloured, there is still enough contrast to see the bird/clearly distinguish it. And, of course, there is the photographer's vision, which is great. By the way, do you drink V8? You must be, otherwise you wouldn't come up with such wacky photos. BTW, you don't want to get your birds cry by putting an onion there. And forget about garlic - don't want to hear chirping and smell garlic breath at the same time... Cheers, Micheal Link to comment
joe baker pine bush ny 0 Posted April 9, 2007 thank you all for takeing the time to comment. so now i will take the time to tell you about the photo. i,am takeing this series of photos to exhibit in a local resturant. the background is very important, to gain contrast, it is a black sheat of cardboard. i used fruit with the same colors as the finches i wanted for the subject. they are standing on a back platform sprinkled with thisale, with is finches favorite food.
