jcg23 0 Posted April 8, 2007 Hi I liked this image. I was wondering if you could pull down the yellow in the background as it is competing with the children. This would really make the children stand out. Jane Link to comment

kslonaker 0 Posted April 8, 2007 My only suggestion would be to get rid of that bit of orange (sleeve?) to the left of the girl's head. Toning down the yellow in the background is a good suggestion, too, imo. I like the angle you shot this at. Link to comment
alecee 0 Posted April 8, 2007 Thanks guys, it was a street shot and the mother is on their left. I didn't want to clone off anything that's what I left it as it is but crop to clear as much distraction as possible. I think the look from both of them says it all. Link to comment

Emmanuel Enyinwa 0 Posted April 11, 2007 Are these the same two boys you shot in the room, you know, that one John Falkenstone said was "manipulated"? Just curious. Link to comment
alecee 0 Posted April 11, 2007 No, these 2 kids are much smaller and shot in Bac Ha market. The other 2 kids with their Grandma is shot in Lao Chau village many miles away. Check it out again Enyinwa. John mentioned dodge and burn is manipulation so I guess a lot of digital images are manipulated. It's a thin line I think, as even analog darkroom technique dabbles with dodging and burning. Link to comment
