iancoxleigh 0 Posted May 21, 2008 This is such an interesting photo, playing with the sense of scale and it works very well. I find the halos around the tree trunk a little too much evidence of the process used, and I start to focus on that rather than the image itself. But, otherwise, a very effective image and certainly gloomy. I think I have a photo of that exact same tree from an entirely different angle here. Link to comment
dcardoso 0 Posted May 21, 2008 Thanks Ian. I totally agree. I've been back to this spot a couple times but with much less dramatic sky so they just didn't turn out as I wanted. I also don't particularly like the dangling branches but the wide angle doesn't make it easy considering the composition I'm after. I already cloned out bunch at the top right :\. I will likely go back again and redo this one at some point. I'm sure I can get a better version, but the sky has to work with me :p And yep, that's the exact same tree! knarly bugger isn't it?
