httpwww.photo.netphoto1664881442 0 Posted April 8, 2007 As a rule, I hate, 'taken out of the window of a plane' shots. However, en route to Melbourne Australia last October I captured this; far from feeling unhappy about the wing element, I feel it adds a nice touch of contrast to the natural beauty below. alton 0 Posted April 8, 2007 Better check out Julieanne Kost's book before you decide to hate photos from airplanes. http://digitalmedia.oreilly.com/2006/02/22/featured.html Of course, she has superhuman Photoshop skills, but her tips in the back can bring the rest of us tantalilzingly close to getting good shots from an airliner. dangoldman 0 Posted April 8, 2007 i too, generally frown upon what are generaly snapshots taken from the window seat of an airliner, but this is no snapshop. Well done, i love the saturation and colors. The inclusion of the wing, i think, sets a whole new mood to the shot; of either coming to a new land, or leaving home. This makes it better than say, a brochure picture of NZ from a helicopter or cesna... I also like how it is only the last section of the wing that is iluminated by the light, this helps to draw your eye right into the frame. Link to comment
