Stand on Guard for Thee

I saw this fella when I was on route to a couple of different locations a few weeks back. I thought that it might make for an interesting story so I took it; the vigilant guard dog watching over the cattle. I just rolled down my window and tried to snap it as fast as I could, because I didn't want him to get upset and and then hurt himself going through the barbed wire. Well I snapped it, looked down at my LCD to make sure I got it and while I did that he jumped the fence, ran around the car and proceeded to give me a face wash through my open driver's side window. :p So much for the vicious guard dog.

 

I don't think this shot conveys it but he is a monster. He's got a head the size of a cinder block. Not extremely tall but very bulky. While he's obviously not that scary to humans I'm sure he wouldn't be nearly as inviting to a coyote, wolf or cougar. He's more than a match for any critter on the prairie.

I think it's an outstanding image. I like this sort of thing anyway. I noticed the cattle are placed perfectly between the strands of barbed wire. The color also looks to be perfect. All around nice image.
