claire 0 Posted April 11, 2007 Lady in the door way in Cuba. Liked the antique sewing machine so decided to focus on that. Thoughts? Many more pics needing your thoughts pleeeeeeeease. Claire Link to comment
apergament 0 Posted April 11, 2007 I think you captured a great moment here with the lady looking out to something we can't see past her job and where she is. I really like her gaze, and the highlight on the left of the sewing machine. I'm not sure about the dangling thing on the upper left, but I think it works. I would suggest making her shirt darker since I think it takes away from the focus on the machine, and also making her face lighter since I think it would add to the mystery of where she is looking . Finally, I would try to clone out in PS whatever the light thing behind the lade is, as it distracts the viewers attention away from her face. Very interesting photo, with a great nostalgic and symbolic effect. cheers. Link to comment
snapshooter 0 Posted April 12, 2007 I agree with Alex, on pretty well every point. It's a great expression. The machine, the hand and the face will all come together better with a crop from the right, up to the hand. It will also decentralize her face and give more apparent space in the direction of her gaze. It's a delightful shot, and expression. Link to comment
