lauriee 0 Posted April 6, 2007 O my Luve's like a red, red rose That's newly sprung in June; O my Luve's like the melodie That's sweetly played in tune. Robert Burns... Link to comment
squirrelman 0 Posted April 6, 2007 This one doesn't quite work for me, Laurie. Perhaps it was intentional but nothing seems to be in focus and the center of the flower is glarish and overexposed, as often happens with reds in flowers. I also think that the empty space on the sides doesn't really help the composition, if you are going to center it you might as well crop it closer. Link to comment
lauriee 0 Posted April 7, 2007 Thank you both for taking the time to critique my rose. I actually like this very much. Micheal now I'm worried about my monitor. I think it looks very clear...I do agree that the center is a bit over exposed but I actually like that about it. Sorry you didn't care for it. I went and had a look in your portfolio and I think it's a difference in taste more than anything. Your flowers are very subtle and the colors are muted and have an old world charm about them. I'm more of an IN YOUR FACE photographer. I love garish and bright! Kimberly I am so glad you liked it! :-) Laurie Link to comment
aeg 0 Posted April 26, 2007 Doesn't Texas have rules about not allowing roses of a color other that yellow to be photographed. Just kidding!, nice capture and contrast. Regards Link to comment
