Generally I like this shot but its resembelance to paintings reminds me of the pictorialist era of photography which I think reduces its originality...

How many sunsets or sunrises in B&W do we see? That alone makes it original. But the reason we see so few is that they're often boring, because the photographer relies on color. Here, the photographer has relied on form, with good effect. I like it.
