This is a very old shot, I only remember it was a negative TRI-X-PAN

ASA 400, but I can't remember the camera.

This actual picture is a shot of a 30x40 cms print I made some 35

years ago.

I think it is going to be dificult for me to get a better BW portrait

than this one.

Thanks for your opinions. Regards.

You have captured a nice spontaneous moment here, and as a viewer that really comes across. I think the film grain is a bit much, and you might try softening it up some. As it is now, I find it to be a bit distracting from the portrait, especially the area on the lower right where it it most pronounced. Overall, I really like what you have done here.

Jose, this is one of the most beautiful and striking B&W portrait I have seen in years, I am very surprised it hasn't been chosen for POW. Take immense care of the negative film because it is very precious.

I have found the negative of this shot. I am happy.

Thanks a lot for your comments, they help me to search for the original.

Hi Lennart! It was a candid shot.

Wish you a happy new year with a lot of good shots.

Best regards.

Immortal work. Sad thing, the more you look at this, the more you crave for what is gone. If you were grown in times, where such a feel, existing here, was a leading beauty of photography.... now, you are a guest. Amidst the glossy fuzz, set touchstones for the modern, digitized art of photography. One is too different from what I contemplate right now.

I have to say, I love this work. It's definition of what's love. Time. Memory. You have embraced the moment [just to look into her eyes]. There's grain / YOU'RE FREE OF NOISE. Noise is whatever else, distracting from the essence - feel.

And, if you say, you wonder of the works young kids have done, gone digital since the day one

- they never cound approach the same, tweaked on a modern race for style

One of your very best Jose, very expressive face, the grain adds to the whole, her eyes are haunting. Very well composed.

Nice to meet you Jose, thanks for your comments that brought me to your work.
