clayton_m 4 Posted April 4, 2007 It conveys the scale of the landscape well. The contrast of the wooden house stands out nicely. The placement of the house is good, but might work better if the lower green roofed house were more included, rather than cut off half way. That would also move the wooden house closer to a "power point" (The thirds rule). The light is not very interesting though. As with most landscapes, warm morning or evening light usually works best. Maybe zooming out slightly would help the image, but you might have been purposely exluding extraneous stuff from the edges. Anyway, good documentary shot. I could see that on a post card or travel guide. Hope this helps. Best rgerads, --Clayton. Link to comment
jan_piller 0 Posted April 5, 2007 I agree with Clayton about the composition - in this case the rule of thirds would have worked better. It's probably not possible to go back and reshoot the image so I would be inclined to clone out the green roofed house altogether (although I know that's not truth in photography). These are all certainly very beautiful post cards! Link to comment
