Wow; isn't Paris a great place to shoot! You have done a nice job of capturing the atmosphere; what I particularly like is the fact that the foreground tree at the top is not blacked out, showing good detail, and giving the whole image a nice sense of balance. Paris makes me want to work in B&W too.

I wasn't going to wait for this to finish downloading... but I'm happy I did... very nice.

I feel a little sorry for the next few photos that come up as this will be hard to beat. For me it has everything. Composition, great exposure and fantastic detail throughout etc. etc.. Only one criticism, I didnt take it.

I just tried some night photography, and all pale in comparison to this. I'm inspired. I like the exposure, metering for shadows, rather than the highlights.

Oui, nombreux sont de ton avis. Peut-être parce qu'elle est beaucoup plus contrastée et que sur un écran d'ordinateur, forcément, ce sont les photos contrastées et saturées qui tapent plus à l'oeil.

Nice even lighting. like the wet pavement. well balanced.

Not as sharp as my more recent pictures (old technology, old methods you know ...), but contrast is here.

People love a lot this contrast, but I think it may seem a little bit unnatural.
