Atop the highest dunes in North America (if not the whitest dunes

too) at (700) Ft. This is according to a BLM topographic survey. Yes,

even taller than the (600) Ft high dunes at Colorados Great Sand

Dunes National Monument. In the distance you can barely see the

tallest peak in the northern part of Death Valley (I believe Hunter

Mtn) behind a rather unusual sort of fog or mist. The average

rainfall for this part of the world is pretty sparse, so any moisture

even in the form of fog is pretty unusual.
