AaronFalkenberg 0 Posted April 1, 2007 I keep coming back to this one, trying different crops, etc. What do you think? It was an interesting experiment on the 4x5. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted April 1, 2007 This is very well exposed Landscape and of very great composition Wishing you all of the best Link to comment
ken_thalheimer 3,739 Posted April 2, 2007 I like the PS ghost effect. I think the crop is good. I'm not crazy about what appears to be the remains of a zoom filter on the side of the building. My eye keeps going there Link to comment
AaronFalkenberg 0 Posted April 2, 2007 No post-processing folks, except cropping and a bit of contrast. This was a double exposure done on the 4x5. The peculiar quality of the wall is one of the reasons I keep coming back to this shot. It's intriguing, in that it's like everything is being pulled into a vortex - kind of like the way sci-fi tv shows convey time and space around a black hole. Link to comment
ken_thalheimer 3,739 Posted April 2, 2007 No post processing? Indeed that wall is very strange. It now makes it very interesting Link to comment
minicucci 0 Posted April 6, 2007 Not sure what you started with but this crop looks spot on. You might have called this doppelganger. It makes me think of the residual vibration of cars speeding by on highways, rendering these places mere ghosts of the past. Link to comment
AaronFalkenberg 0 Posted April 7, 2007 Satvinder, Pat, thanks for stopping by! The full shot is horizontal with about an equal amount of the plywood wall to the left, but without the focal pattern. Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted April 19, 2007 I agree with you about the wall. In a way it's too bad about the double exposure, as neat as it is, because it lessens the impact of that dynamic wall by competing for the attention of the viewer. But it's a highly original and unique shot anyway. Link to comment
jim_interlicchio1 0 Posted January 30, 2008 The vibrating effect of the double exposure works well with the textural elements of this pic. This scene almost makes noise. Link to comment
