The Buddha of Angkor Wat

The one statue of the Buddha that I saw in Angkor Wat proper was in

the center of a gallery facing outward to

the vast space of the compound. It gave needed color to the old

stones and provided the only link I saw there between the Hindu

relief sculptures and the Buddhist tradition
