Ellen, very well composed! I feel a little cheated regarding the DOF. For me, the eye and ears of the outer rat(?) need to be in focus.

Oh want a cute capture. I think the sallow DOF works well here. It draws ones eyes to the pink nose and whiskers.

Jim, I'm a little confused by your comment. All documentation and reviews/critiques and my personal taste indicate that eyes are the most important part of a photo with animals, birds, people etc.

So, you think a nose is a better feature to promote?

I must have missed reading those rules. I didn't know there were any? I guess I've been doing this wrong are these years :-) As for noses, mine is larger than most so "yes" I'm a big promoter of noses so to speak.

BTW: Nice portfolio and Ellen thanks for letting us use some of your space.
