Jack McRitchie 150 Posted March 31, 2007 A strong, colorful composition. The boldness of the color and composition perhaps can be traced back to your African roots. Your affection for people comes through clearly in your portraits. Link to comment
frank_p 0 Posted March 31, 2007 The ballpoint behind his left ear adds that little touch of realism... Good portrait! Link to comment
Emmanuel Enyinwa 0 Posted April 3, 2007 There is a path along the Lansing River in Lansing, Michigan. It is a wooden path that snakes along the River until you come to the other side of town. Along this path is a dam, which causes a brisk, yet gentle cascade of water, above which dreamers cast their hooks, hoping to entice the unwary fishes that float in the collected waters below. As you walk along this path, flocks of geese herald your arrival, and if you ever seat on one of the benches that dot the side of the river, particularly in the winter, when the whole floor is typically covered in inches of fresh snow, the birds beseige you--geese and ducks and pigeons, too--because in their simple minds, the sole essence of your being their can be reduced to the simple neccesity of feeding them. On the other side of the river are warehouses, rustic brick buildings, blindingly brilliant in oxblood and burnt siena, which run along the wooden path, relics of a bygone era. Beyond these along the side of the road, is a children's playground, on which were built these beautiful, colorful geometric patterns. It was here that on a beautiful summer afternoon, I commandeered a total stranger, an architect, I believe, minding his own business, to wedge his frame into the triangular opening of one of these patterns. samrat 1 Posted April 3, 2007 Your shot is full of character. The summary you have provided complements the shot very well. And by the way, you write very well too. Poetic and imaginative. I await your other posts. Link to comment

laurent_jaussi 0 Posted August 6, 2007 your portrait is wonderful Emmanuel...very inspirational...I thing that beyond technical matters, you must have a personality to create confidence and relax mood with your subject, that really can be seen on the images... Link to comment
human images 4 Posted January 11, 2009 this is an excellent and unusual point of view - a creative composition with a very human touch. Here as elsewhere in your portfolio is evidence of your ability to arrive at a significant portrait, to elicit the 'something' from your subjects, something that can be seen but not described. Also appreciated the intro to the image. regards, Carlos Link to comment
trisha jean-angela 5 Posted October 27, 2010 Wonderful portrait of this man who just happened to pose for you! He seems so comfortable and relaxed in front of the camera (maybe he could pick up some modeling work on the side); a tribute to both his personality and your skill! Wonderfully engaging photo! Thank you for sharing. :) Link to comment
