great shot, so much more than just a dog shot, really captures something almost otherworldly.

this is a perfect picture with this dog. i tried to picture it with a different type of dog, and it just wouldn't work. the mood and tone are excellent.

I'm glad you tried removing the tree growing out of the dog's head, it would have been a distraction for sure. However...it's a noticeable edit to the trained eye. I would suggest taking a small section from the dog's head where the tree isn't, then copy and paste it into a new layer, rotate it to line up where the tree is, then use a mask on that layer to blend it in, then use the patch tool and make your source the spot on the left between the open trees. You could also use a very light brush stroke and sample the fog's value/color to blend it in a little better.

Hope I don't come off as rude, I really like this photo and I'm only trying to give an honest critique.

I love love love this shot. I always feel a little chessy posting pictures with my dog in them b/c I know I have a love for him that other people may not understand. But I just love your images with your dog and the fog. He's adorable and they go further than just pictures of your dog. The coloring is just beutiful. Thanks. oh and the drool is great

fabulous shot!! I love his/her expression and the drool. the only thing I am noticing is a brighter halo on top of his head and above him. looks like you have removed something. I would suggest trying to blend that a bit more with the fog. but that is my humble opinion. other than that the composition is great as well as the B&W processing.

ciao ciao

This one will go straight to my favorites. It's artistic, beautifully moody and well composed. Plus, it's got two things that get my attention and keep it: the dog and his drool. I couldn't live without 'em. Great work, Tim.
