Wonderful shot, I love it, but you might crop it slightly tighter, maybe half the black space between the deer and the border, great shot!

This has already been substantially cropped, hence the title "If only"... Kind of goes like "If only I had been closer", "If only I didn't have to PS this one to death" and so on. :)

I like this a lot...but don't be disappointed if I tell you it also reminds me of those paintings on velvet....one of the better ones, of course...LOL! Must be all that black.

I HOPE to get a closer deer shot this weekend!!! These deer are very skittish and it doesn't take much to make them run off. Not offended, Linda. I was playing around, trying to salvage a distance shot.

Great idea - closer would be a bit better. But very original conception.

I might try cropping a little more and see if I can keep a decent print size still (8x10 minimum). I could crop and keep it web-size decent, but I don't like to do that - I like to have something I can use in "real life". It's going to rain today, so no chance of closer deer today! Let's hope for tomorrow!!!

OK, I won't bring up the legality issue here. I'm sure you took this during the day and added the night time/flood light effect.

For me, I would like the ears to be lighter, can you dodge that area a little?
