mvisionphotography 1 Posted March 26, 2007 Under the Boardwalk I captured this sunset. I do it in PAINT.Paint, done in PAINT. Yes, I do these in Paint. The pictures are clear but I enhance them and move them into paint because I love to work with the natural beauty that the picture has. I do nothing but work with way the picture flows (no cloning done). I do no changes in the picture itself but CROPPING it. I only change the saturation and contrast and highlights as I move back and forth throught the different paint filters. I do not actually go in and PAINT any individual picture unless I have to change some piece that might need to be erased. It is as you see it because of the way the colors get enhanced. The way that the natural flow of the picture wanted to go. I explain all of this because so many people wonder how I do these. Now you know. Thank you for looking. I appreciate it very much! ~ As always ENJOY! ~ micki Link to comment
jan_piller 0 Posted March 26, 2007 Very bold and graphic! My tastes would run to more muted soft and natural colours but I love this concept. Did you have to crawl right in under the pier to get this shot? I would be terrified of dropping my camera! Link to comment
mvisionphotography 1 Posted March 26, 2007 It doesn't look like it really but that is what it is doing. the bottom part of the picture is the ramp to dock the boats. Weird isn't it. I tried to do it softer but the effect was weird. Link to comment
joanbn 0 Posted March 26, 2007 The bold colors are your trademark. Always know it's a photo of yours. Nice job. Link to comment
snapshooter 0 Posted March 27, 2007 I too, like the bold colors. Unlike my Art Historian daughter, it's purely gut instinct with me. I really like it, Micki. However, the more I study it, the more that patch of blue distracts me. Maybe if there was some yellow, just below the upper border/frame, it would tie in with the adjacent sky to the right. Just a gut thought.lol. Link to comment
gjhigh 2 Posted March 27, 2007 Micki, I really like this one when opened up, great color it would make a neat stained glass window. I have a large window in my wine cellar, and I have been thinking about putting a large stained glass panel or door over it. I think I have just been inspired to try this technique when I get the right photo to play with and then see if I can have one made or take a class and make one myself. Thank you, Greg Link to comment
umapathy 0 Posted March 27, 2007 great colours, u r developing a unique style for urself. Link to comment
mvisionphotography 1 Posted March 27, 2007 This is an EASY technique if you get the right picture. Doug you can change the color easily by going in and clicking on the color and changing it pixel by pixel (oh what fun that is). Greg... you can do this without a class you are that smart :) Just take a few pictures of a few sunsets and I'll tell you what to do next. OR.... Feel free to take this one :) I won't mind! I can send it to you in LARGE format if you would like. Link to comment
petespositives 0 Posted March 27, 2007 Or please give my eyes some time off! I live in a country where the light is weak, the women gentle and the drink is strong... You seem to live in a place where the light is like strong drink, you are obviously having a good time and the women are the photo-master race! I am not used to such a life... More please! Guest Guest Posted March 29, 2007 I like this strong colors in some points dear Micki, but in some points they are too exagerated for me! Funny as I am the one exagerating so much! I wonder how the original looks like? cause I see that you have captured all - the reflection of sun light on the sea surface, the beautiful sunset in the sky, and the part of the bridge! and now, more I am looking at your photograph, I find it more appealing and more intriguing dear Micki! Thank you Dear :) Biliana Link to comment
mvisionphotography 1 Posted March 29, 2007 NOW the funny thing is I think this is one of the worst pictures I will ever post here but I wanted to see what the colors would do. They say bad pictures make great colors (I was going for the stain glass look and it worked as I loved the lines). SO... don't freak everyone HA http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h72/fergiswife/2007_0321sunsettree0050.jpg Link to comment
