Nice composition! The black foreground and the red background make a surprising contrast. However, I don't what to think of the microphone stands in the back: the add to the theme but are also a little disturbing...

I really dig the photo anyway!

This is truly very good Tanya. The pianist is well positioned in the frame and the background shadows adds considerable drama to the picture, as do the colour also. Excellent work..

nice job. The low light photography is a good challenge but rewarding

i adore my dear friend Tran Nhu Vinh Lac. He's a scholar with the soul of an artist to me. Vinh Lac recomposed music for this grand scale orchestra. He rearranged music notes so that he could bring a simple Vietnamese song to the orchestra level. Besides Vietnamese and English,Vinh Lac is also fluent in Mandarin, German and French.

 

Best yet, he's such a humble gentleman with a great sense of humor. I love to watch him on stage as an MC as well. Vinh Lac is currently working for The Texas Ballet.

 

I cann't help to talk more and more about this very dear friend of mine. I am so happy that there's one photo that comes out decent considering my first time encounter with stage lighting. Thank you all for leaving comments. Warm regards, Tanya.
