This one gets a 7/7 from me. Love what you've done with the tones and compositional elements, the light, the sea, the mountains, the boat, the sky.

Absolutely gorgeous! What a wonderful shot...I encourage you to disregard the moron that already rated this 4/3. Your composition is spectacular, tones are pleasant, and sky is very fitting. Wonderful placement of the scenic boat with stellar reflections. My only minor, minor criticism is that the trees to the left could use a bit more detail but that's about it. I've been trying to work on my B&W photography and this is one of my new gold standards! Would you mind letting me know A) what time of day you shot this and B) if you used any filters? I'm just curious for my own education. Did you do anything with post-processing? Once again, this is fantastic--very, very impressive!

What a great B&W work. This is really outstanding. The tones and contrast are beautiful. Although we've seen this type of composition before, your photo stands out as very special. Congratulations.

What a great composition.I particularly liked the reflections of the clouds in the water & that the clouds & river appear to be flowing in the same direction.regards-Ross

Maciek, this is excellent. One of the best shots I've seen posted in awhile. Wonderful composition, crystal clear sharpness, and the tones are outstanding!

Marvelous shot. The composition and photo in genereal convey this irresistible sense of warmth, quiet and peacefulness...it makes you want to be there. Great job with the BW tones. Congrats!

I would agree about people who rate shots like this 4/3 ignore them, what level of intelligence is working there?

You have a wonderful composition, nice long tones, great detail and a great big sky.

For me this is star quality, I like framing on my work to finish it off and I would always add 5% black to an image. I'd be proud to have this on my wall Sir.

All the very best

I know this is boring -- the most important technical detaiuls is what happened between eye and brain -- but I would appreciate knowing camera, lens, film, developer, etc.....
