The light is still the best thing about Grimes Mill. I believe I like the full shot... Gives ya more of a taste of this place.

I love this, Lannie...! Lovely warm lights and nicely balanced composition of windows and roof lines!

Thanks, Brad and Alberto. The composition in this case occurred on-screen, when I was trying to decide how to crop from the larger shot (also in this folder).

Sometimes cropping (ie editing) is an equally effective image creating tool as the original capturing. I do it mostly when I don't have the necessary focal length to compose the way I want to...

I like both shots - they both have their strengths but the graphics of the roof line stand out more in this one and I like the impact it affords. I like the colour too.

I like the cropping.... the shadows on the building seem to stand out more... gives it a more dramatic feel... good complimentary colors...Me likes it too, Lannie...I like the "Lost in Space" photo, too

Hi Lannie, I like the cropped version. It really draws you in to the colour and all the interesting shapes created by the light.

Really nice pic Lannie, I like the full frame shot also. This is really a cool building. Warm afternoon light is magic. Thanks for the kind comment on my photo.
