plano texas Untitled

Ahhhhh, just plane 'o Texas....;-) I don't recognize this...but it's been a while since I've done work down that way...

Wow Dennis Plano has gone up so fast. This is the Dallas North Toll way and Parker Road looking to the NE Plano is all but built in and Frisco and McKinney are the fast ones right now. There are one or two building sites left in Plano. When I moved down in the late 80 all this was farm land and dirt roads, no more.

Man.... When I was doing some telecom work (mid-80's)in the area around the EDS complex, I designed quite a few telephone cable systems for the cow pastures that were turning into sub-divisions. I'd drive home thru McKinney on to Denton... If it's wall-to-wall metro...I'm glad I'm not having to mess with the traffic now...

Oh yes EDS and the 80 EDS was the first one in the Legacy Park and was owned by Ross Perot. And today the Legacy Park area is corporate headquarters for everyone, JC Pennys, Frito-lay... I have an old storm photo of the land and EDS from the 80 and Frisco is the town just to the north of Plano when I move down here they had chicken ranches along 121 lol and the last thing on there minds were raising chicken. And this was the 80

HD = High Definition Camera...right?

BTW, My son is looking at getting his ham license... When he does, hopefully we'll be able to talk when your up this way chasing... I've got the urge just to hit the road...a good storm is all the excuse I need...

I'm also following this exchange between you guys and also wondering what CG and HD meant, Ken. I also don't remember this from Plano, but it's been a while. . . .

Tried to get some Venus with the moon tonight but it is as always hard to get the right exposure on the moon and stars and lights anyway so I cut the moon out of the shot.
