Doug, are you serious?! Your balconey! What a vision. Very impressive shot, both due to the wonders of nature and your skill at composing it and setting it up for maximum impact. Great job. --Fred

Thanks Fred. I never realized, when I decided to include a balcony outside my bedroom, that I'd ever have a computer and digital darkroom, just inches away. What's really amazing, is that the sunsets are so much more vivid from higher up. I've often run downstairs to the deck, or on down to the dock, but they never have the same depth of colour. Especially on the water.

Wow! That's spectacular! Like being on the ocean! Good grab Doug! ( it's Sunday and still not enough courage to download anything- it will come!) What Lake is this?

It's Buck Lake, Jan. 20 miles North of Kingston. Two branches on either side of the Old Perth Road. About 6 and 7 miles long, respectively.

Not too many times in my photography career I would say this... imo, I'd bump the saturation down -10 or so just to take the pop out... Damn deep colors here.... Sunsets and water always nice and special. Your view has the water mine doesn't...yet! Awesome looking place, Doug.

I used very little saturation, Dennis. It was quite vivid, but just wanted a slight accentuation of all the different colour shades, from the far tree line to the top. Some of the shades were so close, as to be indistinguishable, without a touch of saturation.
