lalit 0 Posted March 15, 2007 One summer evening, I traveled to the Bruneau dunes with my friend. Hewas interested in taking star trails and needed to stay late. While hewas setting up position and taking reference shots, I scouted aroundand found the abundant tracks ...Whoa! This was an animal highway ... Tracks of of antelopes, hares, beetles, maybe coyotes were going up and down the dunes, crossing eachother few times...Then I found these three plants, and found itcoincidental and funny that they were also aligned in a row, and feltlike traveling up the dune. I started taking shots showing all thecomplexities of this small ecosystem ..and then three teens appearedin the viewfinder at the top of the dune. They came with their sand boards. There wasn't time as the lightreaching to the peak and going to fade fast. I thought of includingthem, especially sand boarding. (You will notice a black figuresliding down on the top dune) I composed and fired the shots. FinallyI was happy to see the image that showed this beautiful sharing ofthese natural resources by the animals, plants and also the humans. Link to comment
rajeevthomas 1 Posted March 18, 2007 Lalit, I always love the way you connect your words to your pictures. Here your establishing your excellent way of composing all the elements and drawing pictures in the viewers mind with words but I am also definitely amazed by the quality of your capture, great DOF , LIGHT and perfect place Lalit. I see couple of dots on the top right of your picture that shows that your sensor is collecting dust....regards, Rajeev Link to comment
