glenwoodsherry 0 Posted March 14, 2007 I shot this just before a major summer thunderstorm hit (I know, in Florida, saying "major summer thunderstorm" is redundant!) I don't usually shoot industrial subjects, so I am curious what you think of it. Thanks, Glenwood Sherry Link to comment
glenwoodsherry 0 Posted March 15, 2007 Alan, Thanks for the comments, and I agree about the right-hand crane. I normally shoot with a Fuji S2pro, with a great viewfinder, but this was a grab shot, using my wife's EVF. (The S2pro was sitting at home; my bad). It was only after I downloaded the image that I saw that I had not framed the whole shot. Moral of this lesson: Don't leave home without it! (The S2Pro, that is.) Many thanks, Glenwood Link to comment
alan p 0 Posted March 15, 2007 I like it....great colours and moody sky. Symmetry too. Perhaps would have been nice to include all of the right hand crane jib.. Link to comment
mark kasumovic 0 Posted March 15, 2007 Try this in black and white, the colours, while interesting, are ulimatly tacky. This type of shot needs to be sharp to work as well. I love objects like this, keep shooting! Link to comment
glenwoodsherry 0 Posted March 17, 2007 Mark, Interesting suggestion, converting the color version to black and white. I played with it, and like the results (check it out in my Florida Storms section), but am not sure that I like it better than the one in color. I guess youse pays yer money, 'n takes yer chances.
