dee 14 0 Posted March 14, 2007 Fantastic colours in the sky! Really nice warm glow to the entire photo. I love the angel of the clouds coming in... Makes them seem more threatening. Out of curiosity, what type of filter were you using? Link to comment
thadley 15 Posted March 15, 2007 Thanks Darren. The only filters I have in my kit are split density neutral, split density warm and a circular polarizer and I did not use any. I did choose the 'cloudy' color balance setting on my D70 which will make the scene a bit warmer but it is close to what I saw. I try to include a portion (blue sky) which shows that no filter was used. By the way, if you look at the Buildings Color photo in the same folder, the same 'warm' cloud is part of that photo. I made several trips back to this scene but was not lucky to get a similar view. I do have another shot (same day) which I have not posted as yet (Mount Liamigua sunset) and was taken on the same afternoon. Thanks very much for commenting and I hope this was useful. dee 14 0 Posted March 15, 2007 It was indeed. Thank you. It was actually because of how blue the sky was that I thought you used a filter... Not an easy exposure at all I would imagine. Link to comment
thadley 15 Posted March 15, 2007 I was attracted to the contrast of the cloud and the blue sky. Would appreciate comments and ratings. Link to comment
