Wayne: A nice action capture. I'd crop out a good bit of the bottom to put focus on the boarder and I'd drop EV about one full stop (in the raw converter, if possible) to bring back the colors. Quick example of an adjusted crop is attached.

Hey wyatt, try using a polarising filter. It cuts out alot of the reflected light from the snow and gives you a more even exposure. Also have a play with levels in photo shop. good luck
