this is a funny one. Did you stand there for a long time before getting the proper cheek alignment? Yes, in all the signs there one could read various messages. I thought the photo could use some brush-up, so I did it to my liking, hope you don't mind. Cheeks...I mean...cheers, Micheal

 

This is quite a shot and seems to be informed by modern super-realism. Couldn't you just see this as a painting? I love the composition that tell the story indirectly but with great animation. I got a kick out of Michael's edit, going back and forth a number of times to try to undestand what he had changed and then finally got it. I'm a little slow.

Don't feel bad. It took me awhile too. Micheal is a V8 devotee, and sometimes overdoses. It does, however result in some interesting comments.

Like your title. As for the song, you will have to do that one on your own. Having seen some of the crap you come up with, that should be no problem. Suggest using the tune "We All Live in a Yellow Submarine."

I chose the song Moon River, and renamed it to V8 River: "V8 River, wider than a mile, I'm drinking you in style each day. Oh, vegie maker, poor health breaker, wherever you're drinking, I'm drinking your way. Two drinkers, off to drink V8, enjoying the taste. We're after the same bottle of V8, standing on the shelf, my fellow drinking elf, V8 River, and I." What da ya think? I've got to hand it to you, that song is awesome. And "Moon River" was sheer genius. Give up photography. You are wasting your time. Fame awaits you writing songs.

 

This was total grab shot. I walked by this guy who was taking a picture of an old car, and I saw the sign, pulled the camera up, took one shot, and walked on. He never knew I was on the way to making his butt famous.

Hi David...I work partly at the International Geneva Auto Show and have practically no time to connect these days (few minutes per day and not every day)...so until next week I will only pop out here and there but not regularly...

Ah you're a smartass. There's more and more to enjoy every time I flip through your images. These kinds of grabs are what's breaking my neck--I can't leave the house without my camera around it anymore! I look like a perpetual tourist, when in fact I'm a perpetual nuisance and collector of the once-in-a-lifetime. I think perhaps we are related...

Thanks again. I do keep my camera pretty handy, but being a bit self conscious sometimes keeps me from catching some good street stuff. Glad you enjoy my images. That means a lot to me.
