Love the shot. Everything about it. I have no negatives on it. Good landscape work. You need to continue with landscape shots. All the best.

Nothing is like this in your portfolio and I am shocked! You really need to do more of these! A series. WOW!

The red barn is just a perfect setting to the right of this wonderful landscape. The tree to the left is the reason I gave it a 7 as it needed the GREEN color for this picture. The blue sky (the light) and the white looking painted clouds under the darker clouds give it a great dramatic look as the white clouds match the snow cap mountain. THe water with it's painted look is wonderful ;) I love the spring look of the field and the little bit of the white fence and the spripe of the barn. BEST OF ALL I love the appearence of this looking painted yet not being painted.

7/7 hands down! WONDERFUL! Your best picture of your portfolio! (well I don't rate birds cause I can't take picture's of moving things very well)

even my son goes WOW 7/7 all the way and he is 13 and hates all the pictures even the ones I do he says it is cartoon like ~ see you have a 13 year old TEEN liking it!!

Andy and Miki ~ I have to admit that this photo has a lot of elements working for it. You guys didn't have a little vino while looking at pictures on PN, did you?

Seriously, in January, I deceided to spend much less time on PN and learn my camera and equipement. I had been relying on what I learned in the 80's when I was really into photography. Landscape photos are the most difficult for me in digital format. I need to "see" what the digital camera sees in dynamic range.

The other big change for me was my purchase of Corel Painter X.5. I now see photos in layers before I take them. I think that's a big part of what makes this photo work so well. I know photoshop very well and learning painter however, they're use for me is not with my photos. I really attempt to post unmanipulated photos other than levels, contrast and saturation. I really "hate" sharpening. I do have a panorama of this scene that I will be posting. Thanks again for stopping by and commenting.

Kolby, have you been around PN? I had been watching for a new photo but none came. Glad you stopped by and appreciate your comment.

Regards, Dave

At first glance I thought this was Mt. Baker, but then I decided that it is Mt. Hood. Did I get close in my guesses? I really like the photograph!

Shawn, your still too far north. The water is Fern Ridge Res., just west of Eugene, OR. The mountain is due east from my position and one of the Sisters about 90 miles away (air miles).

Thanks for your comment, Dave
