Hello John. I do not think any unindentified spots make an excellent abstract image. There still will be e.g. rules of composition playing role in decision if we like a photograph or not. I can see some part of this image taken out and make a a good abstract. In the whole I think this image does not keep my attention to it to find it enigmatic or beautiful. E.g. the white spots near the edge of the frame just lead my eye out of this creation.
