tanyatruong 0 Posted March 10, 2007 I remember one of my photography instructors told us that "Don't try to hold the camera still. Jump up & down, shake the camera. Do whatever you normally don't do, THEN, take the photograph." I like this unsteady effect of the camera. It seems to be rather cinamic effect. Thanks for looking. Tanya Link to comment
momente 0 Posted March 10, 2007 It is, indeed, a very natural and laid-back shot, and the sepia toning is well chosen, but I'm not exactly sure about the blur -- does it take it one step forward or one backwards? Link to comment
tanyatruong 0 Posted March 11, 2007 i am not sure neither. I guess if i am a world renown photographer, there won't be any question asked ;o). Nevertheless,i really enjoy this mood. It seems to make me feel like i am watching a romantic movie. Thanks for stopping by D. Warmest regards, Tanya. Link to comment
malinmalin 0 Posted March 11, 2007 Indeed, in the book "The Tao of Photography" it's mentionned 10 "rules" that repeatedly occur in photography. Rule #5: Hold the camera steady. Breaking the rule then is "Shoot while jumping up and down or spinning around" :) I like this picture as it conveys a feeling of warmth and caring. Regards, jf Link to comment
tanyatruong 0 Posted March 11, 2007 i also happened to read the same book last year. Naturally, i have the tendency or desire to break socially, conventionally acceptable rules. In photography, i enjoy breaking all the 10 rules :o). Thanks for stopping by and leaving comments Jean-Francoise. Agree or disagree is not an issue in art, it is whether to cause any impact in the viewer. I am glad D. and you had the interest in the photo. Best regards, Tanya. Link to comment
