awaraagard 0 Posted March 8, 2007 hidden face of the rider is also a part of great tent pegging action. i decided 2 post this one 2. normally, the seasoned riders know how 2 focus on the peg. when they strike , they never take their eyes off their target. so most of them hardly show their face 2 camera at the strike. besides, we photographers get very little time 2 get away from the galloping horse. since i use Canon 70-210mm lens & stay a bit more close 2 the point of strike, i can easily b the target of 2nd strike. lol. many a times the horse can get off the track. many a times i heard the swish of lance over my head. during this most recent event, one of our fellow photographer was trapped between 2 galloping horses & barely managed 2 escape. regards! awaraagard 0 Posted March 9, 2007 dear peri, we catually risk our lives with all this tent pegging activity. so many incidents happen that result in the death or serious injury of both the horse & the riders. i know so many crippled, injured riders. mostly the horses fall & die, sometimes a speedy horse runs over the crowd. here i attach a photo showing a horse running into the audience, giving little chance 2 the people in front 2 escape. dear sircar ji, life's precious, i agree, but what good is a life 2 anyone if we don't risk it? i choose 2 do this by will & i'm ready 2 face whatever comes my way. i'm watchful & still surviving after 4 years of non stop aggressive tent pegging photo sessions. lets see how long. lol. regards!
