Abandoned refugee boat near Montana Roja

During the nightof 14th Feb 2007 a number of Moroccan refugees

landed on this beach near El Medano Tenerife, exhausted and

dehydrated. Like all other economic refugees regularly landing on

Tenerife they were taken for 'processing' to be shipped

and 'released' on mainland Spain. The fiberglass boat quickly broke

up in the surf. Many refugees drown in their attempt to reach Europe.
