ken_imduaikiat2 0 Posted February 10, 2002 My original intention is to create contrasts in both contexual and elements. Peaceful sleep contrasted active diagonal lines. Blue contrasted orange and yellow. But the white wall on the upper-right corner was troublesome to me... cropping was obviously impossible... what do you think? Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted February 10, 2002 I think the rug distracts me a bit in the pic,but this is such a cute picture. I like the softness. Link to comment
david yama 0 Posted February 10, 2002 I agree about the rug. I think you should try cropping the photo square, it seems like it has nice balance that way. It's a great photo! Link to comment
lucas_griego 0 Posted February 10, 2002 Ken, Sawat Dii Khrap! I liked this image alot and found it very striking. The colors are excellent - contrasting 'hot' cool colors with the warm floor hues. Nice. The diagonal of the couch gives a nice effect. But the rug at the bottom bugged me a lot. I have posted a 2 sec. Pshop retouch example for you to see what I was thinking. Perhaps there is another object that would have worked better there than the rug.. but I felt your colors and composition were so strong that the rug really detracted from it.. Anyhow, only my 2 cents Chohk dii Khrap! Luc Link to comment
leo 0 Posted February 11, 2002 First of all , I like the rug . It keeps the picture from being unbalanced ( without it , you have no reason to look at the bottom of the frame ) .The colour combination is very aesthetically pleasing . Could you reshoot without the wall ( maybe a window with a blue sky instead ? Link to comment
jim morehouse 0 Posted February 21, 2002 I disagree about the rug, as well. It definitely adds to the picture. Great color. Nice pumpkin. Good tone throughout. Link to comment
cd thacker 0 Posted February 27, 2002 I think you succeeeded in your stated goals for this image. Also, it looks like the baby is on a kind of hyper-modern cloud. Link to comment

ken_imduaikiat2 0 Posted March 15, 2002 I greatly appreciate for your thoughts and generous ratings. I'd consider all your inputs as well as my client's (in this case it was my brother) and decided to leave the work this way. It may not be as clean as everyone want to see but I think the pattern of the rug adds to the context of the story in this photograph. Thank you again. Link to comment
