rajeevthomas 1 Posted March 5, 2007 This was not an easy hike but clicking to shoot this scene was easy, snow creates magic in Colorado.... Link to comment

lalit 0 Posted March 5, 2007 Lovely snowscape Rajiv. The white, blue and red is a great combination. Have you burned an areas on near top left? I was wondering what that greyinsh band appearing ..or just some mystery shadow? Nice shot again, +Lalit Link to comment
anish 0 Posted March 5, 2007 Rajeev, There is definitely some potential here, but the way I'm seeing it, there is too much clutter in the bottom 2/3 of the frame. The tree at the left helps to provide some depth and separation, but the rest of the snow covered foliage sort of blends together. Did you take any more shots during this outing? rajeevthomas 1 Posted March 5, 2007 Lalit, I did not burn this picture at all. But I have noticed that I do not have that banding on my original copy, may be something happened when I have posted this here. Thank you for you comment Lalith as always :) Anish, long time no see, I have to visit your folder too. I think, I have taken several shots exposing the formations by themselves and later took this shot while I was walking away from them.. :) Anish nice seeing again commenting. Link to comment
daverave 1 Posted March 5, 2007 I agree with Anish; the lower third of the photograph distracts from the best of the subject; i.e., the red rocks and the foreground tree/snow. Perhaps a panoramic type of crop would enhance? -Dave Link to comment
amalsircar 2 Posted March 7, 2007 Worth all the travail,Rajeev. Excellent capture of mountain & the snow. Link to comment
arnabbanerjee 0 Posted March 7, 2007 I have to agree with Anish. Little cluttered for me - the distant red rocks are lost in too much front and middle ground details. Simplicity is what missing here - but exposure is dead on. Also, liked the tree on the left as frame Link to comment

sevinsky 0 Posted March 8, 2007 Having made the trek into Garden of the Gods on more than one occasion, in the dark, in the snow, I really enjoy this photograph. Although I understand the comments about the bottom of this photograph being cluttered, I enjoy it because it reminds me of what it actually feels like to be there. Great job! Link to comment
henrimanguy 0 Posted March 8, 2007 Excellent composition. The bleu and the orange are standing out superbly against the white of the snow. Link to comment
robertmorlan 0 Posted December 7, 2007 Really like the colors in this photo. Also the comments show different ideas which is very helpful. Link to comment
dallalb 0 Posted September 23, 2008 It's a nice shot! I like the high key light and the softness conveyed by the snow. The red mountain on the right is very interesting... Did you try to look at it with a longer focal lens? Congratulations and kind regards, Alberto. Link to comment
