kim_tural 0 Posted March 5, 2007 Delicate and beautiful! What I love is the way you created the light and shadows in the background layer to really make the flower stand out. Link to comment

kslonaker 0 Posted March 6, 2007 Thanks, all. Mark, the stem seems more prominent in my print copy for some reason. I printed this out 12x18 for an upcoming competition at the local Art Center. Link to comment
paula grenside 0 Posted March 6, 2007 This is really artistic, Kim. The flower seems like emerging and floating. Excellent lighting, too. Link to comment
karen rexrode 0 Posted March 6, 2007 Very nice image. You have made both elements work and that's not as easy as it looks. Link to comment
sondra kick 0 Posted March 6, 2007 Beautiful work, great lighting, the flower seems to be suspended in mid-air. You are so creative! Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted March 8, 2007 If anyone wants a tutorial on how to do this process, email me; I did some screen captures and put them in Word documents. There are 5 steps (files), each about 650k. If you have dial-up or limits on email, let me know and I'll send separately. Link to comment
juan-de-santa-anna 0 Posted March 10, 2007 Yes you can paint!!!The proof is in this purdy puddin! This...as well as the others are fantastic...! I would love to print this one and call it my own!! Did you try it vertical as well? Juan Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted March 10, 2007 Didn't try this vertical (yet). That's the beauty of the textured layer - it can easily be flipped and work well. I shot this horizontal, though, so will lose some of it by cropping to vertical, whereas horizontal is almost full-frame. Thanks for all the visits & comments! Link to comment
